 UniSFAn Community Info

Ahem... The UniSFA mailing list is a popular discussion forum for UniSFAns. Apparently the British civil service would often refer to the situation as a "Frank, bordering on direct, exchange of views." - whatever the hell that's supposed to mean... It's from the old mailing list page. More precisely, mailing lists are where people the world over, who share a common interest, come together to bicker and share information in a convenient, email based format.

UniSFA sports two such lists. The first is a general discussion one, for those trying to waste time during the semester, piss people off or just follow the ever-evolving life form that is the club's aura. For those who check email rarely or get easily offended by Star Wars based jokes, there's an announce list that just has important club and related events sent to it. The announce list is a subset of the general list, so there's no need to subscribe to both... But you have to subscribe to at least one... Or else.

 Joining

Joining is easy! Using the email address you intend to use to send and receive mail from the list, send a message to:

     unisfa-request at gu.uwa.edu.au or
     unisfa-announce-request at gu.uwa.edu.au

with a message body of "subscribe", to get on the regular and unleaded lists, respectively. To unsubscribe, send to the same address, but with the body comprising only of "unsubscribe". If you're having trouble trying to subscribe or unsubscribe, try turning off html-formatted email (idiot).

You can also subscribe using the web interface at http://mail.guild.uwa.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/unisfa which additionally provides access to the list archives.

 UniSFA LiveJournal Community

For those who are not familiar with LiveJournal - it's sort of an online journal/blog/thing. You can join up for free at LiveJournal.com.

The UniSFA community was started to allow UniSFA members to effectively make announcements to other UniSFAn's Friends Lists. You can join it here, or view it at www.livejournal.com/community/unisfa/.
